- Chris Cartwright FOUNDER
Chris founded Chris Cartwright Communications in Geneva having served as Managing Director of Burson Marsteller in Geneva and Chair of Burson Marsteller’s Technology Practice in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to moving to Switzerland, he ran Burson Marsteller’s Corporate and Crisis Practice in London, leading a team of 40 issues and crisis experts.
He has headed client mandates across many sectors, including technology commodities, international organisations, healthcare, aviation and consumer. He specialises in C-level communications counsel and connectivity with the global business media, as well as crisis communications.
Chris started his career in technology PR agencies in London, becoming board director of leading agencies, Bite and Brands2Life. He was Managing Director of Harvard PR, the specialist technology agency in the Chime Group. - Matthias Lüfkens SENIOR CONSULTANT, DIGITAL
Matthias is the former Managing Director of Burson Marsteller’s Digital Practice, across Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) advising a wide range of Fortune 500 companies as well as non-profit organisations on the use of social media.
He was Head of Digital Media at the World Economic Forum (WEF) where he designed and implemented the highly successful digital strategy.
Trained as a journalist, Matthias was Baltic States correspondent for Agence France Presse, Libération and the Daily Telegraph (1991-96); and later Deputy Editor-in-chief of EuroNews television (1996-2004).
In his spare time, he manages the Instagram account of @LeJetdeau, Geneva’s iconic water fountain. - Aimée DuBrule SENIOR CONSULTANT
Aimée is a senior global communications leader specialised in corporate brand reputation and executive communication. She has worked extensively across all facets of corporate communications for world-renowned brands, overseeing proactive engagement programmes to build trust with key stakeholders and influencers.
Aimée is highly experienced in CSR communication and the development of company Purpose—having headed such programmes at Nestlé—as well as deep expertise in issue management and crisis communications. As the former global head of the corporate communications function for a leading luxury hotel group, she was responsible for brand reputation, executive communication, crisis management, corporate media relations, and internal communication. Prior to this she led the Corporate Communications department globally for Nestlé CPW, encompassing reputation management, media relations, corporate and consumer PR, issue management and crisis prevention, executive communication, and internal communication.
Throughout her career, she has overseen numerous global change communication programmes, including a major transformation initiative at Bacardi and the largest ever post-merger integration of Canada's leading diversified media company.
Aimée holds a BA from McGill University (Canada), an MBA from SDA Bocconi (Italy) and an Executive Master of Science in Communication Management from USI (Switzerland), and has published award-winning business cases for IMD Business School. - Michael Dempsey SENIOR CONSULTANT & MEDIA TRAINER
Michael is a highly experienced journalist and media consultant. He works for BBC News and contributes to titles including The Daily Telegraph, the Financial Times and the Sunday Times. Apart from stretches at the BBC he has worked at CNN, ITN and the Press Association.
His expertise in media training is in demand across Europe. He has delivered tailored media training to clients including the United Nations, the WWF and aerospace group Leonardo. He has a passion for clear and effective language and also works with clients on developing memorable and effective messages that resonate with a global audience.
Jargon and corporate talk hold back great ideas and Michael is skilled in teaching businesses how to tell their story in words the media will understand. He has worked on crisis management communications planning with executives in the aviation, travel and pharmaceuticals sectors.
His corporate copywriting skills have been sought by organisations ranging from the UK Attorney General’s Office to technology giants such as HP and HCL and global consultancy Capgemini.
